The Rim Black Berry pearl 8100 has generated so much buzz because pearl is the first device from the company to offer expandable media. The pearl 8100 phone supports 1.3 megapixel camera which comes with a flash & 5x Zoom. User can capture photos & can choose one of three picture sizes (1,280 x 1,024, 640 x 480, and 320 x 240) & three quality settings - normal, fine & superfine. User can save photos in their phone and set them as caller ID. Photos can be share between friends & family by using multimedia messaging.
The phone comes with integrated media player. The phone has play & stop buttons with fast forward & rewind clips. User can watch video in integrated media player which supports various video formats including AVI, MOV, MP4 & 3GP files. User can easily set a song as their ringtone. The pearl 8100 phone also supports its popular feature that is Email. User can connect to Enterpriser server for Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino or Novell GroupWise to deliver email in real time. The phone supports text & multimedia messaging.
The phone is good for professionals as an attachment viewer can open file formats such as Microsoft Excel, word, PowerPoint, PDF, JPEG & more. Bluetooth 2.0 is available for wireless headset, car kit & desktop connectivity. EDGE network provides fast speed surfing. Address book is limited because of its available memory, which tops at out 64MB flash memory. For each contact user can store eight numbers, email address & Web addresses.
The Black Berry Pearl is also the first BlackBerry to come with a map application. Maps provide local maps and allow user to get text-based driving directions right on their mobile phone. |
